JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA — In the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against Cincinnati, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence injured his right ankle.The left tackle Walker Little stomped on Lawrence’s ankle, twisting it as he was sacked. Lawrence attempted to stand, but fell to the ground, took off his helmet, and threw it away in disgust. He was assisted off the field and into the X-ray tunnel.

Lawrence had an otherwise excellent night, completing 22 of 29 throws for 259 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown.

Lawrence suffered a leg injury versus Indianapolis in mid-October. Since then, he’s been wearing a brace on his left knee. In his three-year NFL career, Lawrence has never missed a game.

Lawrence was hurt while the Jaguars were facing a 3rd-and-11 from the Bengals’ 23. Lawrence’s left ankle seemed to be stepped on by the Jaguars’ left tackle. Trey Burton, a Bengals defensive end, bent his ankle even more.
