The Las Vegas Raiders are unlikely to get a top-five draft pick unless the draft order drastically changes at the end of the season. The club is presently ranked 11th, putting them out of the running to draft USC’s Caleb Williams or UNC’s Drake Maye.

If the Raiders are looking for a quarterback, they will have to look at the second wave of candidates. According to Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels might be the 11th choice.

Jayden Daniels explains why LSU has become top destination for NIL athletes: 'It's the brand'

“It’s time for the Raiders to use a high draft pick on a quarterback, and Daniels is the kind of player who should get fans excited about the future,” Hill said in a mock draft published on December 1. “His talent has been on full display, with 3,812 yards passing and 40 touchdowns to four interceptions, as well as 1,134 yards and ten touchdowns on the ground.” If LSU had advanced to the SEC championship game, he would have been a shoo-in for the Heisman Trophy. Aidan O’Connell has demonstrated that he can be a solid backup and even hold onto the starting job while Daniels adjusts. As the Raiders rebuild, they could have a solid tandem for the next few years.”
