The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Washington Commanders receiver Cam Sims, who stands 6-foot-5 and 214 pounds, just in time for their Week 13 clash against the San Francisco 49ers.”Congratulations to our very own Cam Sims (@Silkysims17) on signing a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles! 🥂” Elite Loyalty Sports, Sim’s agency, announced the news on November 30. “I wish you the best of luck in this exciting new chapter of your career.” #FlyEaglesFly.”
Sims appeared in all 17 Commanders games in 2022, recording eight receptions for 89 yards. His greatest season came in 2020, when he made 16 appearances, including 10 starts, and had 32 receptions for 477 yards and a score.
Sims has recently had brief spells with the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Giants. Sims signed with the Raiders over the summer, but he was released while the team was finalizing its 53-man roster. He later signed a practice squad contract with the Giants in September, but was released a little more than a month later.
49ers vs. Eagles: Philly Is a 3-Point Underdog Against San Francisco
With their NFC Championship rematch against the 49ers in Week 13, the Eagles are once again the focus of the NFL. Despite being 10-1, the Eagles are three-point home underdogs versus the Niners.
Philadelphia’s recent tight victories appear to be influencing their perspective among fans and at Vegas betting. According to Heavy Sports computer estimates, the 49ers are favored by 2.5 points. According to these calculations, Philadelphia has a 42% chance of pulling off the upset. Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ star quarterback, expects more from himself and the team’s offense.
“Obviously, we have a lot of work to do,” Hurts told reporters on November 26. “I have a lot of cleaning to do.” I have not yet performed to the level of my standard, which I have yet to define. It appears to be sufficient.
“But in terms of the standard that I’d like to play to consistently, and I’d like us to play to consistently as a team, enough is never enough.”
News from the Philadelphia Eagles: Shaq Leonard is a Cowboys fan.
Despite the recent visit, the Eagles may face an uphill struggle to sign Leonard. According to Audacy’s Brian Baldinger, Leonard is “leaning toward the Cowboys.”
“I hear he’s leaning toward the Cowboys,” Baldinger said in a November 30 interview on 105.3 The Fan’s “GBag Nation.” “I know Eagles players who are aggressively recruiting him.” They require him. Last week, they lost Zach Cunningham. All year, they’ve been losing linebackers.
“I’m hearing he’s leaning toward the Cowboys at this point.” He’s a little reserved about this. (He) wishes to make the best decision.”
