INJURY NEWS: This year’s Philadelphia Eagles injuries have completely ruined the season.

Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox will likely miss a few games with a neck sprain suffered Thursday during his team’s 34-27 victory against the Packers, according to NFL Media.

Maddox was injured in a collision with teammate Andrew Sendejo in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s contest. He lay motionless on the turf for several minutes and was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher.

The Eagles later said Maddox had been diagnosed with a concussion and a neck injury but was out of the hospital in time to fly home with the team following the game.

Philadelphia coach Doug Pederson said Maddox was in “great spirits” following his release from the hospital.

The 23-year-old is in the midst of a breakout year, with 16 tackles and defended three passes through four games this season after totaling 35 tackles and defending four passes in 13 appearances with the Eagles in 2018.

Philadelphia (2-2) will host the winless Jets on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 5.
