SAD NEWS: Due to a right knee injury, a talented player was ruled out till the eleventh mount.

“It was determined that WR Jordy Nelson suffered a significant right knee injury in yesterday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.” He will be out for the rest of the season.”

Jordy Nelson, 30, fell down early in the Packers’ preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers – following his second grab of the drive. He was injured when he attempted to cut after completing an eight-yard reception on Green Bay’s first drive. When defensive back Antwon Blake slipped, Nelson appeared to have plenty of room to run, but instead fell to the ground. He hobbled off the field and into the Packers locker room.

The NFL announced on Twitter on Sunday that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson has a torn ACL.

The fact that Nelson is now out for the season in August doesn’t help Aaron Rodgers’ mood.

“It’s difficult to lose a guy like that in a game like this.” “It’s unfortunate that you have injuries like this in the preseason,” Rodgers remarked.

Nelson caught a career-high 98 passes in 2014, while making his first Pro Bowl appearance.

Officials with the Packers have yet to certify that Nelson did, in fact, suffer a torn ACL.

“I mean, Jordy Nelson is a key member of our football programme — both on and off the field.” Off the pitch, most likely. Jordy is a fantastic player. He’s fantastic in the locker room. “He’s a fantastic family man,” remarked Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy.

“He’s a guy; if I had any questions, I’d always go to him.” He’s friendly and puts forth a lot of effort in practise. So he is not only a leader by example, but also a highly approachable leader. “He’s a guy you can talk to,” said Packers wide out Ty Montgomery.
