Cardiff City demolished Huddersfield Town 4-0 to clinch their first win in four games and send them into the Championship play-off places.

First-half goals from the returning Callum Robinson, Dimitrios Goutas and Yakou Meite were followed by a stunning Perry Ng free-kick after the break as the Terriers were completely dominated by Erol Bulut’s side.

Here’s how the Bluebirds fared on a wonderful night in West Yorkshire:

after a flurry of late Huddersfield tries, he kept his clean sheet after an extremely quiet first half. Rudoni made a good late save after seeing the midfielder’s shot hit the crossbar.

7 Perry Ng
A good performance topped by an incredibly spectacular free-kick effectively sealed the victory for the visitors. Goalkeeper had no chance from 25 yards away, curled around the wall. It’s a piece of beauty.

Another solid effort from the big man, who looked as cool as ever on the ball.

7 Dimitrios Goutas
May had a goal disallowed over the weekend, but he wasn’t about to be denied tonight, as he doubled his team’s lead with a powerful header. He was also important at the opposite end, clearing an effort off the line to prevent Huddersfield from scoring late on.

6 Jamilu Collins

He caused issues in the future and cannot be blamed for his defensive performance, although he received a stupid yellow card late in the game.

Manolis Siopis 8 (the star)

He put in one of his best performances in a Cardiff shirt, doing what he does best. He was all over the place tonight after being given permission to play in midfield. He was booked at the hour mark, but he can be excused because he looked a cut above.

7 Joe Ralls
Another strong performance from the captain, who caused havoc with his swinging corners, leaving the Terriers defenders scrambling.

Callum Robinson (age 8)

After being given his first start of the season, he had to impress, and he did so with a brilliant deflected flick that put his team ahead after two minutes. When he went forward, he looked threatening and had the hosts’ defence scrambling as he showed his manager what he was capable of.

8 Josh Bowler
From the start, he exudes confidence, getting an early assist for Robinson and going close himself. He appeared to have brushed off an early knock as he terrorised the Terriers in the attacking third, but was forced off after collapsing again around the hour mark. A concern following a stellar performance.
