Reuters, NEWCASTLE, England, August 12 – Even worse for Aston Villa boss Unai Emery was his team’s 5-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United, as Tyrone Mings, a vital defender, was injured in the first half.

Following what appeared to be a harmless altercation with Alexander Isak of Newcastle, Mings went down to the ground. Following a protracted stretcher break for medical attention, he was taken off the pitch on a stretcher in the thirty-first minute and transferred to a nearby hospital.

Days prior, Emiliano Buendia of the Birmingham team had a major knee injury that is expected to keep him out for up to eight months. Mings’ injury occurred.

It’s not looking good. He’s got wounds. It has been a really difficult week. Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia were two of the squad’s key players that we lost today, Emery told the BBC.

“This week has been extraordinarily difficult in every way, but we will not back down. We can make a difference with the guys we have, therefore I want to stay optimistic.”

To the joy of manager Eddie Howe, Newcastle scored four goals in the second half to break apart Villa’s defence and send the home team to the top of the table.

“We’re rather happy. Aston Villa is a very strong team, therefore it was a challenging game. We had to give it everything we had. Howe told the BBC, “We scored five, and we could have scored more, but they were in the game too.”

“Our mercilessness in front of goal won a close match. Today, everything came together for us. The hardest place to go is Manchester City, which is where we have to go now. We must rise to the task and, of course, Liverpool, but for now, we’ll concentrate on

Eddie Howe may be missing up to eight starters from the starting lineup for Newcastle United’s Premier League matchup against Burnley this coming weekend.

Despite Howe making several changes, the Magpies have won four straight games and maintained four clean sheets. The manager of Newcastle has rotated his team due to the back-to-back schedule, making 10 changes for the Carabao Cup match against Manchester City.

It’s possible that Howe will make other adjustments for the Clarets’ visit, some of which will need to be enforced. Dan Burn and Martin Dubravka have both fallen unwell, and Callum Wilson, Sven Botman, and Alexander Isak will all have to do late fitness tests.

Howe stated in a statement at the beginning of September that Willock won’t return until at least mid-October. “Unfortunately, Joe has experienced a little setback,” he stated. His hamstring issue is unrelated to the Achilles damage he sustained. Thus, I estimate that he will be absent for around six weeks more. In terms of his energy, we are missing him.
