Baltimore, Maryland — The Detroit Lions have made additions to their offensive and defensive lines. Devine Ozigbo and Mo Ibrahim, two running backs, have been promoted from the practise squad, and defensive lineman Josh Paschal has been activated from injured reserve.

Although Paschal, a former second-round choice, has shown remarkable adaptability and disruption on the field, injuries have hindered him during his two seasons in Detroit. He hasn’t played since sustaining another injury to his knee during the first game. While he hasn’t been playing, the defence has risen into the top 10 in the league and is ranked first against the run. However, Paschal is a versatile player who should bolster the depth against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens on Sunday.

Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn described the man as a “really good run player, really good pocket-pusher” this week. “We expect that player to do those things once he returns because we drafted him to do exactly that.”The Lions are utilising their practise squad to increase the depth of their backfield on the offensive end. Craig Reynolds (hamstring/toe) has also been limited this week, and David Montgomery (ribs) has been ruled out. Even though rookie Jahmyr Gibbs hasn’t practised for a full day in weeks, the Lions intend to put a lot of pressure on him while he recovers from a hamstring injury. Detroit is also strengthening their roster to support Gibbs.

While Ibrahim is an undrafted rookie who might make his NFL debut on Sunday, Ozigbo made his Lions debut last week with three carries for five yards. Ibrahim returned to the practise squad this week after being cut during training camp due to an injury.
