JUST IN: Coventry City manager pays heartfelt tribute to Sir……..

Mark Robins has conveyed his condolences following the passing of Manchester United and England star Sir Bobby Charlton, who died at the age of 86.

The Coventry City manager and former Manchester United striker recalled his experience as a young player at Old Trafford with the 1966 World Cup champion.

“I’m really sad,” Robins stated in respect to Sir Bobby. Sir Bobby was the epitome of a gentleman. Everyone knew he was a great player, but he was also a gentleman.

“He was somebody who supported everybody at that football club all his life and I was one of 1000s of kids that went to his soccer schools in the early part of my life.

“I still remember them to this day and he’s a real sad loss. We all knew him. He was around the place all the time. I know he’s been suffering for a little while and just thoughts are with his family at this time.”
