Now that the NBA regular season has concluded, we await the results of this week’s play-in games with bated breath. The Cleveland Cavaliers (51-31), fortunately, won the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference and will have six nights off before facing the No. 5 New York Knicks (47-35) on Saturday.
Let’s look at the Cavaliers’ injury report and how it could affect the series. Report on Cavaliers Injuries
Many of Cleveland’s key contributors, including Donovan Mitchell (hand), Darius Garland (leg), Carvert (knee), Isaac Okoro (knee), and Dylan Windler (foot), sat out the final game of the season versus Charlotte.
Fortunately for Northeastern Ohio, guards Mitchell, LeVert, and Garland’s injuries are all considered day-to-day, and their absence from Sunday’s game was purely precautionary. However, the difficulties with Windler and Okoro are more serious, as both are likely questionable for Game 1.
