INjury UPdate: Rangers injury monitor as important player commits…..

The Belgian manager has pledged Auchenhowie a makeover in order to bring the squad up to date.

After arguing that the Rangers team he took over from Michael Beale has too many injured stars, Philippe Clement has announced plans to completely revamp the team’s training programme.

When the Light Blues take on Hibs at home today, the new Ibrox coach hopes to welcome back Ryan Jack, Todd Cantwell, Danilo, and Kemar Roofe after their recent layoffs. The Belgian, though, acknowledges that it’s doubtful any of them are prepared to play against Nick Montgomery’s team for the full 90 minutes.

“I can’t talk about training modifications in too much depth, but here are some details about how we’re going to train, how long it will take, what we’ll do in the training, and what the staff will be doing. There are numerous items. I’m not claiming that [the players’ prior training methods had an impact on their physical form] because, to be honest, I wasn’t there and I don’t care.

“You can listen to stories that people tell, but it doesn’t matter if you weren’t present to witness them. The current state of affairs and our plans to do better in order to reduce injuries are what matter. The past has passed.

t’s a different tale now. Given that this is how the modern game is played, I would like to work more one-on-one and physically with players. We’re beginning to arrange those things since it requires a lot of work, and my goal is to assemble the most physically fit team, just as I did at my previous clubs.

It’s a significant matter. Football is a team sport played by eleven people. However, it’s also a sport for lone competitors. And it’s our job to bring out the best in each and every person. Everybody has a varied potential.

To continue doing it in a prudent manner, avoiding player injuries, and improving each player’s level individually.

The easiest way to put it is this: if you train in the same way, the top player won’t improve because he won’t be challenged, and if you have the worst players levelling off and the greatest players at a high physical level, they will fall.

“At the lowest level, they will be overextended, which could lead to another injury or break. Consequently, you lose the weak ones and don’t improve the strong ones.

It will take time for us to get to the top levels. There were also a number of injured players on the two occasions during the season that I had to step in and take over a club.

Philippe Clement: "We could have scored more than one goal"

However, there is a close relationship between the two issues. It may also be the cause of the club’s unexpected manager change.

After being seen with his knee taped during Ecuador’s World Cup qualifying match against Colombia, Clement acknowledges that he is unsure of how long Cifuentes will be out. On the injury front, there is some marginally brighter news.

After suffering injuries to his muscles, Cantwell, Jack, and Roofe are back, and Danilo, the masked marksman, might play for the first time since breaking his cheekbone in Perth. The new Ibrox manager stated, “Todd Cantwell and Ryan Jack will be back, but not ready to play 90 minutes.”

“Danilo is flexible. Even though it’s his first time wearing the mask, you can tell he gains confidence every day. We have too many players, so we’ll probably need him to be available this weekend.
