Big dude for the Melbourne Storm Nelson Asofa-Solomona has targeted two rugby league players after dispatching Jarrod Wallace in his boxing debut.

The enforcer, renowned as one of the roughest players in the competition, was dominant in his boxing debut, knocking down Wallace with a powerful right uppercut in the first round.
The fight would endure until the second round, but the Storm forward’s domination was too much for him, and he terminated the bout with another tremendous hit in the second round.

With a 1-0 record, Asofa-Solomona has targeted Tongan Test rival Siosiua Taukeiaho, who is believed to join the Canterbury Bulldogs next season, as well as Roosters and English international Victor Radley.

“The next guy I want to fight is Taukeiaho,” NAS told The Courier Mail.
“He’d be a good match for me.” He’s fought once, and I’ve fought once, so if he’s interested, I’d love to get in the ring with him.

“I’m excited to get in the ring with people I’ve had fights with on the pitch, including Taukeiaho and Victor Radley.”

“I’d like to fight Radley as well.” Victor is a bit smaller, so I’m not sure how that would work in terms of weight, but Siua is the one I’m considering.”

While Tevita Pangai Junior retired from rugby league to pursue a boxing career, Asofa-Solomona remains committed to the Melbourne Storm and has no plans to leave the club anytime soon.

Despite reaching the Preliminary Final and losing to the Penrith Panthers, the Storm will be anxious to go one step further next season, which might be Craig Bellamy’s final season as coach before being replaced by assistant Jason Ryles.

“I’m completely committed to the Storm,” he continued.

“I signed a four-year contract with them, and I’m not going to walk out on them.””I enjoy the club, but after football, I’d like to do more boxing and see where I can go in the ring.”
