Coventry City got back to work at Ryton this week as they prepare for another set of fixtures in quick succession after the enforced pause for international matches. The two-week break has, on this occasion, come at a welcome time for manager Mark Robins, who will be hoping that precious time will have given his injured players the opportunity to edge closer to a return to action.
Most pressing at the moment is in midfield where the Sky Blues have been down to the bare bones due to star man Ben Sheaf being out with an adductor strain – a situation compounded by Liam Kelly suffering a hamstring tear, ruling him out of the last match and a half and requiring others to fill in out of position. Jamie Allen was first called upon to deputise in the deeper holding role, albeit he is arguably more effectively deployed higher up the pitch to support the strikers.
Meanwhile, centre-back Joel Latibeaudiere gave a glimpse of what he can do in the position he plays for his country, Jamaica, with whom he has played two games over the weekend. So what should Robins do at Bristol City this Saturday?
