Following an exciting offseason loaded with big roster additions, the Boston Celtics will introduce a brand-new uniform to their lineup for the 2023–2024 campaign.
Every team in the NBA has used its best creative foot to create the greatest threads since the ‘City Edition’ uniform line was introduced. The Celtics, who are no different, released a teaser for their most recent addition to the series, which is a play on Boston’s Bill Russell outfits from the previous campaign.
Improved? Lesser? As good, perhaps? All of that is open to interpretation.
Less than a day after the team’s thrilling 123-110 preseason victory over the New York Knicks, the Boston Celtics released multiple pictures of an unprecedented uniform on Wednesday. It features a White, Gold, and Green colour scheme.
The remainder of social media captured some images of their own to speculate on the overall design of the jersey, although the Celtics only released close-up photos.
The parquet print that runs along the left and ride sides of the jersey is the most distinctive—and, by far, the coolest—aspect of the outfits. As with Boston’s previous City Edition releases, honouring tradition and paying tribute comes first.
