On New Year’s Day, Aston Villa suffered an injury in the second half of their Premier League match against Burnley.
With 20 minutes remained in their match, striker Wesley had to be carried off on a stretcher and appeared to be in a lot of pain.
Burnley’s Ben Mee caught the summer signing in a strong but fair tackle, but Wesley appeared to twist his ankle in the follow through and roll over onto it.

It will come as a blow to Dean Smith and Wesley himself, who had been impressive at Turf Moor.

He scored the opening goal with a smart finish through the legs of Nick Pope, before having a hand in the second with Jack Grealish smashed home.

Jonathan Kodjia came on to replace Wesley up top.
