After 11 games, Norwich City are seventh in the Championship league, a respectable position on paper. However, with only one win in their past five games, some have questioned if David Wagner is the right man to lead the Canaries back to the top flight.

Several new signings were made during the summer transfer window, with the expectation that the fresh additions can aid Wagner and company in their quest to reach the Premier League.

However, there may be some action on the transfer front when the January window opens. Since deadline day, there has been some discussion about prospective moves in and out of Norwich City.

Bradley Ihionvien, a talented striker currently playing for Colchester United, has been connected with the Canaries. The young striker has made an impressive debut, placing him on the radars of Norwich City, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, and Watford.

While Ihionvien is the only player who has been officially linked with the club, there have been whispers of other players leaving.

The most prominent departure rumour involves new sensation Jonathan Rowe, who has been a tremendous hit since securing a starting berth with Norwich City. Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Brentford, Burnley, and Sheffield United have all expressed an interest in the 20-year-old, but the Championship club intends to stave them off by handing him a new contract.

The Canaries could lose young goalkeeper Dylan Thompson to the Premier League as well. The youngster has reportedly trained with Tottenham Hotspur and with a host of talented young ‘keepers on the books at Carrow Road, he could head for pastures new.

The final development since deadline day is regarding a player who Norwich City let go in the summer: Josh Martin.

The 22-year-old winger has remained without a club since his release. He’s been local to Portsmouth recently though and John Mousinho brought him in to train with the Pompey squad. A decision is nearing with the League One leaders still open to bringing him in.
