On the most recent Welcome to Wrexham episode, some intriguing interpretations of the locations of British football teams have drawn attention.
Since the most recent episode of the popular documentary series about the Welsh club stated that the Bees were headquartered in the North East of England, Brentford Football Club has made fun of Wrexham online.

After winning the National League last season with a league-record 114 points, the Red Dragons are making their return to the Football League this season for the first time in 15 years.

The second season of the programme is presently airing in the UK, but geography professors are fuming about the use of a map that purports to depict the locations of various football clubs throughout the British Isles.

Brentford of West London may not be the biggest club from the capital competing in the Premier League, but according to the Welcome to Wrexham map, they are located 300 miles away from the Gtech Community Stadium where they play their home matches, in the North East of England, not far from the Scottish border.

The social media staff at Brentford pounced on the error and posted comments on social media. We’re just a bus stop in Hexham, Brentford said in a post on X (previously Twitter) that included a screenshot of the absurdly erroneous map. We have questions @WrexhamFX,” was accompanied by the symbol for laughing while crying.

As the actual absurdity of the Wrexham map became clear, the post received hundreds of likes very quickly.

This is Wrexham relocating teams all around Great Britain, not just Brentford. Everton, an English club from Merseyside, was discovered in North Wales while ostensibly travelling to Anglesey, while Cardiff City and Swansea City were discovered in England on the other side of the River Severn and required special permission from abroad.
