During Wednesday night’s exhibition match between Villarreal and Leicester City, Wesley Fofana was carried off on a stretcher.
The 20-year-old French defender appeared to have broken his ankle, and the medical staff and other athletes appeared upset by the incident.
Paramedics and club medical personnel treated the player, and Leicester may now be looking to replace him if he is sidelined for a significant amount of time.
