Leicester City defender James Justin is an injury doubt for his side’s Premier League clash with Liverpool this weekend.

The Foxes entertain the Reds on Saturday lunchtime in what is a key game in the top four battle. Liverpool are one place and three points behind Leicester, with Brendan Rodgers’ side sitting third in the table.

They may have to make do without Justin, however, after the defender was stretchered off with a knee issue in Wednesday’s 1-0 win at home to Brighton in the FA Cup.

Speaking to reporters after the game [via The Times], Rodgers played down the severity of the injury, but couldn’t confirm his availability for Saturday:

Justin would be a huge loss for Leicester if he misses out, considering what a consistently strong performer he has been this season. Capable of thriving at both right-back and left-back, the 22-year-old has played every minute in the league so far this term.

Justin’s form has seen some tip him for a place in England’s Euro 2020 squad, and if he is unavailable this weekend, Mohamed Salah could have an easier time of things, with the former Luton Town man having been expected to play at left-back.
