Wolves and Aston Villa meet on Sunday at Molineux with Gary O’Neil searching for his second consecutive win.
Last weekend, Manchester City came to Molineux and left with their tail between their legs. Two goals from one shot on target tells Wolves’ story of the game perfectly.
Both goals coming via Pedro Neto driving down the right and destroying Nathan Ake. Creating the chance that Hee-Chan Hwang eventually converted, and also putting in the cross that Ruben Dias put in his own net.
With this game of equal importance and the chance to take advantage of a Villa side who could be having a European hangover, Wolves have a huge shot.
Here is how we think Gary O’Neil will line-up his side…
We assume that Wolves will go strong, so Jose Sa fresh off a brilliant display v City is a shoe-in.
Defensively the back three should also remain the same as last week, Max Kilman, Craig Dawson and Toti Gomes all start after being so solid last week.
Nelson Semedo and assuming he is fit, Rayan Ait-Nouri should join him on the left side.
In midfield, Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina are the two top choices to retain their places.
Neto and Hwang keep their places on either flank as Matheus Cunha plays the same false 9 role he featured in last week.
In summary, an unchanged team from O’Neil is our preference, but we are sure that changes could be made if O’Neil decides to put the system back to four at the back
: Sa; Kilman, Dawson, Toti; Semedo, Gomes, Lemina, Ait-Nouri; Neto, Cunha,
