Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Chelsea, could face Burnley.

The Evening Standard reports that Moises Caicedo, a midfielder who was substituted off in the last minutes of Monday night’s 2-0 victory over Fulham, is now well enough to play against Burnley on Saturday. This is fantastic news for Chelsea supporters.

Later on, Mauricio Pochettino provided an update on their record signing’s injury, saying that he had a contusion and hoped to be healthy enough to travel to Turf Moor.

Armando Broja, Mykhaylo Mudryk, and Caicedo also hobbled off against Fulham in the second half. While Mudryk’s situation is now unknown, Broja’s replacement was made out of caution.

While Malo Gusto has been suspended to face Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, and Benoit Badiashile are all still healing from their own ailments. The Pochettino team will aim to continue its winning streak when they take on Burnley because they will then have to contend with opposition like Arsenal, Brentford, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Manchester United.

The Blues, who have been effective in the middle of the pitch alongside Enzo Fernandez and have added stability to the midfield, will benefit from Moises Caicedo’s availability. Caicedo can become injured from overexertion, thus Pochettino needs to bear in mind that he can’t play him in every game and should give him as much rest as possible.

Lesley Ugochukwu, his standby, has been crucial in ensuring that the Ecuadorian’s absence was not felt. Operating as a reserve midfielder is also advantageous for his development because he won’t have as much pressure to deliver in every match.
