The midfielder is set to take off his foot protector after breaking his foot in a game against Bristol Rovers in August.

Thompson will undergo X-rays and if the results are positive he will be cleared to proceed with his recovery from a spiral fracture of his fibula.
The 27-year-old suffered the injury after being tackled by veteran midfielder Glenn Whelan.
Cowley said Thompson was progressing well and expected to return to training at the end of this year.
This includes the former Swindon and Norwich City talent with a view to returning to the first team in early 2023. Mr Cowley said:
“Louis had an x-ray today and is waiting for the results, but he is in pretty normal condition.”
“You’ll be able to see how the bone heals and what the plate looks like.”
“We’re looking forward to January, that’s our goal.”
“He will be back in training by then, but we hope to have him back in early January.”
Cowley has no doubt that the protective boot will be a milestone on Thompson’s road to recovery.
The guy who played 38 games last season now needs to step up his work and strengthen his legs. Mr Cowley added:
“This is definitely a milestone for Louis and will allow him to practice with weight.”
“He was doing a lot of strength training in the pool.”

“Now he will be able to load up and accelerate his rehabilitation.”
“You have to give the injury time to heal, but then you need to do plenty of weight-bearing exercise to strengthen the bones.”
