Emery allays injury fears after replacing two Villa players in the win over Brighton.

Unai Emery, manager of Aston Villa, has allayed any concerns over Moussa Diaby and Boubacar Kamara, who both came off late in our win against Brighton on Saturday.
The French two were crucial in our remarkable 6-1 victory at Villa Park, making significant performances in attack and midfield, respectively, to ensure we dictated and controlled the game while also possessing a clinical finish in the final third.

Both have been crucial roles in Emery’s side this season, so there was considerable anxiety when both appeared to be withdrawing with knocks in the final stages this weekend.

While Diaby was seen holding the bottom of his back as he limped off, Kamara limped badly to the side of the pitch with an apparent ankle issue, and given our poor injury luck this season, there were initial fears that they had picked up problems that would keep them out.

However, speaking after the game, Emery rejected the possibility of anything catastrophic and feels that neither Villa player has received a significant injury blow, though they will be subjected to additional testing in the coming days.
