NottinghamshireLive has the latest Nottingham Forest news, with former loan custodian Dean Henderson injuring himself on his Crystal Palace start against Manchester United.

Roy Hodgson, the manager of Crystal Palace, has provided an update on Dean Henderson’s injuries.

On Tuesday night, the former Nottingham Forest loan custodian suffered an injury on his debut for Palace against previous club Manchester United in the Carabao Cup. At Old Trafford, he was forced off after only 19 minutes.

He is now a doubt for Palace’s Premier League meeting against the same opponents on Saturday, as well as the match against Forest at Selhurst Park on October 7. Following his successful loan at the City Ground, Forest attempted to sign Henderson from United during the summer.

On social media, Forest fans have been responding to Henderson’s injury. “Awful bad luck for Dean Henderson, but 100% vindicates the #NFFC’s decision not to buy him,” one remarked. All the Manchester United fans who were complaining about us not going ahead with the transaction may now stop.”

“There were rumours Forest wouldn’t buy Hendo because he couldn’t kick a football with his injury,” another added. That is why the loan deal was offered, as well as why we desired a large number of games.
