The link between Aston Villa’s owners and those wanting to take over Vitesse is complicating the Dutch club’s potential purchase.
According to De Telegraaf, as conveyed by Voetbal Primeur, a potential contradiction of UEFA regulations is one of the topics being investigated by the KNVB.

According to the publication, it is far from certain whether Vitesse will see a prospective takeover by a consortium led by American Coley Parry allowed by the forces that be.

De Telegraaf believes that the club should brace themselves for disappointment on that front, as a variety of difficulties stand in their way.

One of these difficulties is the businessman’s association with a “wealthy Egyptian external lender.”

Naguid Sawiris, a businessman. He is assisting in the financing of the transaction, and in fact is the’major financier,’ as Parry lacks the funds to complete the transaction himself.

While those approving the deal are investigating whether Sawiris has done business with Russian businessmen, his affiliation with Aston Villa is also being investigated.
His brother Nassef Sawiris owns Villa, and their relationship ‘raises the issue’ of whether the Dutch club will be pushed into that pyramid.

In simpler terms, the concern in the Netherlands is that, while Vitesse would be purchased by a separate Sawiris sibling, they may wind up as part of the group of clubs owned by Nassef Sawiris.

That is not an issue in and of itself, but it is believed that if Vitesse and Aston Villa qualify for European football, they may “run into problems with UEFA regulations.”
