The Hoops have been left ravaged at times, particularly in the last month, with a number of important stars and new arrivals sidelined indefinitely. However, as the weeks pass, the Parkhead treatment room is progressively clearing, which will be welcome news to manager Brendan Rodgers.

Matt O’Riley’s outstanding play for Celtic has put the midfielder on the verge of being called up to Denmark.
The Liverpool midfielder was brought on loan to help ease Parkhead’s defensive injury issue, but he got injured on his debut. Phillips rolled his ankle against Dundee and was replaced at halftime, ruling him out of the following games against Feyenoord and Livingston. The 26-year-old’s injury is not considered serious.
Carter-Vickers is scheduled to return to full training at the beginning of next month and be eligible for selection again by mid-October. CCV tore his hamstring in August’s 3-1 triumph at Pittodrie, but Rodgers says his star player is doing well.
The £4million Polish defender is another who suffered a nightmare hamstring injury and it cost him a place in the Champions League squad. The former Legia Warsaw star has made just three appearances for the Hoops and isn’t due back until around November.
Academy graduate Welsh pledged his future to his boyhood heroes by penning a long-term deal – before suffering ankle ligament damage on the same day. Welsh, 23, had no option but to undergo surgery and will remain sidelined for the next month at least.
