Leicester City are back in action this week, looking to extend their league form into cup competitions.

Following victories over Burton Albion and Tranmere Rovers in the first and second rounds of the Carabao Cup earlier this season, City will travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in the third round. The game comes four days after City defeated Bristol City 1-0 at the King Power Stadium.

In the midst of a tight schedule, both teams are anticipated to make some changes for the encounter against Liverpool. Conor Coady, who has returned from injury and has been included to City’s squad for the last three games, might also make his debut. He was a last-minute replacement.

Another defender, Callum Doyle, is under scrutiny. The Man City loanee has started every City game this season under Enzo Maresca, but was forced off at halftime against Bristol City due to a knee injury.

With that in mind, here is the most recent news from the Seagrave physio room. City will be without three players for the game.

Doyle, Callum
Doyle was substituted at halftime in Saturday’s match against Bristol City. He was seen leaving the King Power Stadium on crutches and with his knee braced after the game.

What Maresca stated: “He had a problem in his knee,” the City manager revealed after the victory over Bristol City. “On Monday they’re going to scan him and hopefully it’s nothing because he would be a big loss.”

Mr. Dennis Praet
With a back ailment, the midfielder has missed the last seven games in all competitions. He discovered the issue in the run-up to last month’s Championship match against Huddersfield.

What Maresca has stated: “It’s an important injury,” he said at the beginning of the month. “It’ll be between 10 and 12 weeks.” It’s his spine.”

Possible return date: November 25 vs. Watford (H).
