Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has his biggest squad to choose from of the season as he prepares to lead his side out against Millwall at The Den.
The Whites are in action a Sunday lunchtime kick-off today, looking for their second win of the campaign. After spending much of the early part of the season struggling to even fill a substitute’s bench, Farke now has a host of options at his disposal.
Firstly, the trio of Liam Cooper, Sam Byram and Daniel James are available again after injury and are available for this afternoon’s clash.
The Whites manager will also be permitted to use two new recruits who were late arriving for the previous match against Sheffield Wednesday. Ilia Gruev, a midfielder, and Jaidon Anthony, a winger who arrived late on deadline day, are both expected to make their debut matchday squads.
The Leeds injury list hasn’t completely been cleansed despite these encouraging advances. Stuart Dallas, Junior Firpo, and Patrick Bamford are still out, while Djed Spence’s participation on the journey to the south is in serious doubt.
In the early Championship standings, Leeds will kick off at The Den one point behind their hosts as they seek their second victory of the year.
Meslier, Ayling, Ampadu, Cresswell, Cooper, Piroe, Kamara, Summerville, Anthony, Klaesson, Rodon, Shackleton, James, Struijk, Grey, Rutter, Byram, Poveda, Darlow, Gnonto, Gelhardt, Hjelde, Spence*, Gruev, and Joseph make up the Leeds United team for Millwall.
