Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers hopes his side don’t suffer any more injuries ahead of Tuesday night’s big UEFA Champions League opener at Feyenoord.

Nat Phillips limped off at half-time to be replaced by Gustaf Lagerbielke in the 3-0 win over Dundee, while Kyogo Furuhashi needed special treatment for a shoulder problem at half-time.
However, Rodgers has allayed any concerns and said they should not stand in the way of taking part in the trip to Rotterdam.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound after the match, he said:
“Nat just twisted his ankle on the last play of the first half, so we just wanted to protect him and make sure he was okay and ready for Tuesday’s game.

“Kyogo feels a bit of pain in his shoulder and he needs to work a bit on the inside. We fixed that and then he came off and you could see it didn’t really affect him, so hopefully those two will be fine on Tuesday.

The Japanese striker played hard in the second half after this tackle, scoring and assisting in a 3-0 win over Dundee.
A dislocated shoulder has affected his time in Scotland, but it appears the situation can be managed without much impact on his playing style.

Celtic have had enough injury problems at the moment and can’t afford to give up anymore. Phillips was signed to provide emergency support for defensive issues while Kyogo was the team’s main point of attack.

Hopefully both can iron out these minor issues and earn a spot in the starting lineup on Tuesday night. They will be necessary to get a good fit.Celtic FC v Real Madrid: Group F - UEFA Champions League
