Aston Villa raid arsenal in race for 25-year-old Argentine defender

According to reports, Nahuel Molina, a defender for Atletico Madrid, is being watched by Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester City.

All three Premier League clubs are interested in the defender, according to a report from Ok Fichajes, and they may attempt to make a bid for him at the end of the current campaign.

The 25-year-old’s deal with Atletico Madrid runs through the 2027 summer, and the Spanish club hopes to extend it through the 2029 season. The release clause for the defender has been the subject of rumors; it may be worth up to €90 million.

Molina has been a standout performer at Atletico Madrid, where he made 43 appearances in all leagues last year. The adaptable defender also contributed four goals.

The Argentinean international is capable of playing both right defense and right wing.

There is no doubt that teams like Arsenal and Aston Villa could use more talent in that area.

Atletico Madrid consider an improved contract for defender Nahuel Molina

The Gunners might employ Molina as a more specialized option rather than Ben White, who was forced to serve as their right-back last season. They would undoubtedly get better moving ahead with the international from Argentina.
At Aston Villa, Molina would also be an improvement over Matty Cash.

The Atletico Madrid defender fits the bill for Manchester City, who must find a solid long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
