In his final season with the Bhoys, he won the domestic triple, and a large part of that success can be attributed to his excellent work in the transfer market, when the Australian manager struck it rich with a number of astute recruits.

Particularly, Postecoglou struck gold with the Japanese international Kyogo Furuhashi, who was a sensational addition to Celtic and has been a key member of the team ever after the 58-year-old left.

Postecoglou decided to sign him for Celtic after being persuaded by his outstanding performance throughout the first half of the 2021 J1 League season. In 20 league starts for Kobe, Kyogo averaged a remarkable Sofascore rating of 7.43 and contributed with 15 goals and two assists.

This occurred after he recorded a 7.12 Sofascore rating, 12 goals, and five assists across 30 league games in the 2020 season.
