West Brom have make a free agent swoop as EFL confirm 24-man squad

The roster for West Bromwich Albion’s 2023–24 season has been announced, according to the most recent news from BirminghamLive.

The EFL has approved West Bromwich Albion’s roster for the 2023–24 Championship season.

Even though West Brom has only selected 24 players, when most teams are anticipated to name 25, they are still required to name their roster for the current season.
This gives Albion the possible choice to add another signing if necessary. Despite the ban, clubs will still be able to sign free agents.
As an alternative, Albion may decide to promote one of their under-21 players. Players must register if they were born prior to 2002.

The EFL Championship’s 2023 summer transfer window set a record with nearly £214 million being spent among the 24 teams.

There have been some huge transfers, with Shea Charles moving from Manchester City to Southampton in a $10.5 million deal and Leeds United purchasing Jol Piroe from Swansea City for £12 million.

The other most costly transfers were those of Tom Cannon ($7.5 million) and Harry Winks ($10 million) to Leicester City, Ross Stewart ($9 million) to Southampton, Haji Wright ($7.7 million) to Coventry City, and Ross Stewart ($7.5 million) to Leicester City.

Some teams have had to spend a tad wiser, with Birmingham City being a terrific example. Blues only had to lay out around £7 million for 13 new signings and sold Jobe Bellingham and Tahith Chong to fund it all.
