The 12 Derby County players out of contract next summer

Derby County have been active in the transfer market this summer after signing 11 players as they look to kick off their promotion campaign.

Elliot Embleton is nearing a deadline as he becomes the latest addition to the team, signing on a season-long loan from Championship side Sunderland.
His move to Pride Park follows Tyrese Fornah’s departure from Nottingham Forest while Tyreece John-Jules is on loan from Arsenal until January.

Derby have also signed Sonny Bradley, Josh Vickers, Curtis Nelson, Kane Wilson, Joe Ward, Callum Elder, Martyn Waghorn and Conor.
The opportunity won’t reopen until January before the team has to consider it further at the end of this season.

And there are a number of players whose contracts are expiring with 12 contracts set to expire at the end of the season. Among them are wingers Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Tom Barkhuizen, Conor Hourihane and Korey Smith.
Academy graduates Louie Sibley, Liam Thompson, Max Bird and Eiran Cashin are also in the final year of their current contract at Pride Park.
