A 26-year-old Wolves player who might have been signed describes the situation as “very intense.”

Wolves signed Santiago Bueno, but the Uruguayan was widely associated with the club before the Uruguayan, and now the defender has opened up about the past few weeks.

In a transaction estimated to be worth £8.5 million, Wanderers swooped to acquire Bueno from Girona.

The 24-year-old is held in high regard by the team, and Matt Hobbs calls him “a perfect fit.”

Given that Wolves might have instead signed Elvedi, it will be intriguing to watch how he does.

Wolves reportedly showed a lot of interest. However, it seemed that the club could not support him.

This was before Matheus Nunes, who was ultimately transferred for £53 million, piqued Manchester City’s interest.

Elvedi has now discussed how he won’t be leaving Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.

Elvedi has chosen to remain at Gladbach.

Following Wolves, Everton also expressed some late interest in him.

The 26-year-old has since opened up about his experiences over the past few weeks.

According to Buli News, he stated in an interview with Blick: “It was quite intense, even though my advisor hid a lot of stuff from me and just informed me about the most crucial aspects.

If Wolves chose Bueno instead of Elvedi connections, only time will tell.
Wolves ultimately had the money to hire Elvedi, but they decided to go with Bueno instead.

And we shall now learn whether choosing the Uruguayan was a wise choice.

Elvedi likely had a slightly better pedigree. He actually was the top passer in the Bundesliga last season and has a little more experience.

“I wasn’t permitted to play, so that didn’t make it any easier.

“I feel very at home here, Gladbach is like my second home,” the speaker said.

The German team’s deal with Elvedi expires in the summer of 2019.

In contrast to Bueno’s two appearances for Uruguay, he has 47 caps for Switzerland.

Hopefully, Wolves’ choice to sign the South American over Elvedi will be fully justified.
