Stoke City is attempting to complete four transactions before the transfer deadline.

Transfer rumors and news from the bet365 Stadium on the final day of a historically long summer transfer period.

In the midst of what has been a club-changing transfer window, Stoke City is still hoping to close a few more moves.

Bae Junho has become the 15th player to join Stoke this summer as Alex Neil completely overhauls his squad. However, one of those newcomers, Chiquinho, is anticipated to end a season-long loan from Wolves and move to Famalicao in Portugal instead after losing his spot in the first team as the summer has gone on.

There may be room for at least four more players before 11 p.m. this evening: a right-back, a center-half, a forward, and a Chiquinho replacement on the wing. Neil has made it clear that he wants two individuals to compete for every position.-Swansea may try to press the matter with Josh Tymon as well, in which case Stoke would want a left-back.

Some of the players who have recently joined have a variety of skills, which has somewhat lessened the pressure. Mehdi Leris, who performed admirably in the second half against Millwall last weekend, might play at right-back, for instance, if Ki-Jana Hoever was unavailable. However, Stoke are still striving to develop into an elite team.

Links to Colchester United’s Junior Tchamadeu from earlier in the summer have ceased, with whispers of US international Reggie Cannon in recent days. However, it appears that Sunderland’s Lynden Gooch has moved to the head of the line.

Ben Wilmot, Michael Rose, and Luke McNally all have right feet, therefore a left-sided center-half would counterbalance them. Emin Bayram, a Galatasaray player, was a hot topic in the early summer while Ben Davies, a Rangers fringe player who was a Preston North End fixture under Neil, and Axel Tuanzebe, a free agent after spending last season on loan at Stoke, have been tentatively mentioned.

Although the 31-year-old left footer from Bristol City was still providing previews for this weekend’s match against Swansea yesterday, Kal Naismith from Bristol City may be an intriguing last-minute possibility. He could also fill in at left back.

Stoke’s attempts for West Brom’s active Brandon Thomas-Asante up front have been rejected, therefore it is unclear if they will make another call.

Ross Stewart, a talisman for Sunderland, has been connected for a while, but Southampton is interested in signing him for a significant fee while he recovers from a serious injury. Other names discussed include Milutin Osmajic and Tom Cannon.

Last night it was claimed that Stoke could rival PAOK for Sead Haksabanovic, the Celtic winger and Montenegro international, on a long-term loan deal, which would not use up one of the wild card spots.

It has been an exciting time for Neil and his recruitment staff but it will also be a relief when it’s done and dusted.
