Watford have signed Danish forward Mileta Rajovic for an unknown amount from Swedish club Kalmar.

The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Hornets, who believe he will provide a “towering, physical presence” to their front line.

He is Watford’s eighth acquisition of the summer, but the first since midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze came on August 2.

Rajovic has been given the number nine shirt and might make his debut against Blackburn Rovers at home on Saturday.

He began his career at Brondby and Randers before making a significant impression with Naestved Boldklub, where he scored 30 goals in 58 games.

He moved to Kalmar in December of last year, and he has eight goals in 22 Allsvenskan games this season.Giorgi Chakvetadze trekt op huurbasis naar Watford | KAA Gent Website
