On Friday, the final day of the summer transfer market, Barcelona is anticipated to have a very active 24 hours. It is predicted that players will enter and exit the Catalan club.

Clement Lenglet will be one of them leaving. This summer, Barcelona has made a valiant effort to offload the Frenchman. Initially, they sought a permanent transfer, but when that fell through, they were forced to settle for another loan arrangement.

Lenglet and Aston Villa recently reached an agreement for the latter to join them on loan for the 2023–24 campaign, and as MD has reported, the defender has now successfully completed his physical examinations at the Premier League club. It opens the door for the agreement to be completed before the

deadline.

Lenglet’s salary will be paid in large part by Aston Villa, which is fantastic news for Barcelona. They’ll be hoping that the extra room will let them register all of their players before the registration period closes.

On Thursday, August 31st, welcome to our live coverage of everything Aston Villa.

The summer 2023 transfer deadline is approaching quickly, and Villa is getting close to making their fifth signing of the window. Clement Lenglet, a defender for Barcelona, is nearing a transfer to Villa Park.

He will be one of five new faces at Villa this summer, joining Youri Tielemans, Pau Torres, Moussa Diaby, and Nicolo Zaniolo. Lenglet spent the previous season playing for Tottenham in the Premier League, thus a deal to recruit him on loan from Barcelona has been agreed.

The last-minute rush for transfers has begun, and Villa has until 11 p.m. tomorrow to finalise that and any other transaction. The players that have been linked to transfers elsewhere during the last few hours include Keinan Davis and Philippe Coutinho.

In addition to the transfer window, Villa is back in action tonight in Europe. They enter the contest with a 5-0 advantage after winning at Easter Road in the second leg of their Europa Conference League play-off encounter against Hibernian.

This will be the first European match Villa Park has hosted since 2010. Villa will compete in the competition’s group stage if they advance as predicted.
