The Express & Star said Leeds had added him to the shortlist at the start of the month. That interest is still live according to Nixon and West Brom are keen to cash in before Friday’s deadline, to get their man.
Diangana is a player with Premier League quality. Likely to be available for a cheap-ish fee, and still only 25. But with a few days left in the window, do we really need to be prioritising the signing of a winger?
Surely, we would be better off targeting a left-back, a no.10, another central midfielder? Nadiem Amiri looked as though he was going to be a no.10 signing, but that does not look as though it will materialise.
Ao Tanaka is the subject of a bid from Leeds, while Glen Kamara is said to be on the verge of completing a move to Elland Road. It is all go at Leeds and in the midst of things, we play Salford on Tuesday night
REAL NEXT:
At the weekend, Het Belang van Limburg reported Burnley stand out in the race for Mike Trésor who’s valued at €25m by Genk. It was also stated Vincent Kompany has followed the winger for a long time and would love to sign him for the Clarets
Trésor scored eight goals and registered 24 assists last season and now wants to continue his career in the Premier League.
That’s according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who states Burnley have made an offer to sign the 24-year-old.
He adds the ‘negotiations are progressing’ between the English club and the Jupiler Pro League side for a loan deal with an option to buy but makes no mention of the figures proposed by Burnley.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri also took to Twitter to add that Kompany’s side are still keen on the attacker and working to find an agreement with Genk for his transfer.
Burnley haven’t yet opened talks to discuss personal terms with Trésor. Tavolieri says that ‘shouldn’t be an issue’, considering that the player seems keen to play under Kompany’s orders at Turf Moor
