Burnley makes a €20 million+ offer for the player, but the club will only let him go in the last hours of the transfer window.

Burnley have reportedly made an attempt to sign PSV winger Johan Bakayoko.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims the Clarets placed a first bid worth between €20m and €25m for the transfer.

According to the reporter, PSV are still to respond to Burnley’s bid.

It’s claimed that the Dutch side do not want to let the player leave before the second Champions League clash against Rangers, which is being played on the 30th of August.

Following a 2-2 draw in Glasgow, the Eredivisie side have a great chance to be in the group stage, and don’t want to miss their star for such an important game.PSV's Johan Bakayoko plays down interest from PSG - Get Belgian & Dutch Football News

Regarding potential interest from Everton, it’s claimed there’s still ‘no movement’ from the Toffees for the signing, so it seems Burnley have no big competition.

Featuring for PSV this season, Bakayoko already has four assists in six appearances. Two of them were made in the game against Rangers, so it’s no wonder they don’t want to miss him for the second match.

The player is valued by Transfermarkt at €10m, and that may be a sign that Burnley are putting an attractive amount on the table.
