BREAKING NEWS: Wolves are “on red alert” for a possible swoop for “one of the best” England international players.

Wolves could be about to become embroiled in what could be a huge transfer merry-go-round this summer.

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is set to leave Old Trafford in the next few days.

He has a medical set ahead of a move to Selhurst Park to replace the want-away Vicente Guaita.

This could spark a huge shift in the leagues goalkeepers, with Wolves at the centre.

Wolves are implemented with Jose Sa said to be a target for Nottingham Forest after they missed out on Henderson.

That is only the beginning of Wolves’ part to play here with a potential new keeper wanted at Molineux.

Wolves target Sam Johnstone

According to The Sun, Wolves are on ‘red alert’ for a move to sign Palace’s current shot stopper.

Johnstone is known to be liked by new Wolves keeper coach Neil Cutler which could open the door for a move.

Palace aren’t believed to be keen on losing Johnstone, however after landing Henderson they could be willing to do a deal.

If Forest make a move for Sa, especially following his brilliant performance against Everton, Johnstone could be quickly on his way to Molineux.

Is Johnstone worth buying?

Johnstone is as seasoned and experienced as they come in English football and has even made three appearances for England.

His former boss, Sam Allardyce even went as far to describe Johnstone as “one of the best.”

He would represent a steady if not super replacement should Sa end up departing the club this late in the window.

But this right now is just based on links, but it could see multiple Premier League clubs with new keepers this time next week.

An interesting week ahead for all involved.
