Everton FC have reportedly completed a major move for young Spanish right-back Héctor Fort, bringing the highly rated defender from Barcelona FC to Goodison Park.

Fort, who developed through Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy, has attracted Premier League interest after gaining senior experience with Barcelona and spending the 2025–26 campaign on loan at Elche. Recent reports had identified Everton as one of the strongest candidates to sign the 20-year-old.

The versatile defender is naturally a right-back but has also demonstrated his ability to operate on the opposite flank. His technical quality, positioning and attacking contribution make him an attractive option for Everton as they look to strengthen their defence.

However, reports currently available indicate that Everton’s interest was still being discussed, with no formal completed transfer publicly confirmed at the time of those reports. Barcelona were reportedly open to a permanent sale, while other Premier League clubs were also monitoring Fort’s situation.
