Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji has reportedly been at the centre of transfer interest from Brighton & Hove Albion, with the Premier League club previously linked with a move for the talented Swedish attacker.

However, claims that Bardghji has rejected a contract from Brighton have not been officially confirmed by either club. Reports earlier in the summer suggested that Brighton were interested in the 20-year-old and were among the clubs considering a move for him.

The situation has since taken a major turn. Barcelona confirmed on August 11 that Bardghji suffered a ruptured ACL in his right knee, an injury that is expected to keep him out for a significant period.

The injury has also affected plans for his immediate future. Reports indicate that a potential loan move was being considered before the setback, but those plans have now been put on hold.

Bardghji remains a highly rated young winger at Barcelona, having joined the Catalan club from FC Copenhagen in 2025. His contract with Barcelona runs until 2029.
