Leeds United are reportedly closing in on Canadian international Niko Sigur as they look to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who can also operate at right-back, has established himself as an important player for Hajduk Split and has attracted interest from several clubs during the summer transfer window.

Sigur is known for his versatility, energy, defensive work and ability to contribute from deeper midfield positions. His potential arrival at Elland Road would give Leeds another young and adaptable option in the squad.

Reports have suggested that Hajduk Split are seeking a fee in the region of £3.4m–£4.2m for the player, with Leeds among the clubs interested in securing his signature.
