Everton FC are reportedly closing in on a major attacking addition, with Folarin Balogun emerging as one of the club’s leading targets as the transfer deadline approaches.
The United States international, currently playing for AS Monaco, has been strongly linked with a move to Goodison Park. Reports indicate that Everton have made an offer in the region of €18 million for the striker, while Balogun is understood to be keen on a return to English football.
Balogun would provide Everton manager David Moyes with another powerful attacking option. Known for his pace, movement and ability to attack space behind defenders, the striker could add a different dimension to Everton’s forward line.
The reported move comes at a crucial moment for Everton, who are looking to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes. Sky Sports has also identified Balogun as one of the forward options being considered by the Toffees.
If the deal is completed, Balogun would return to the Premier League with a point to prove after developing his career in France with Monaco. His arrival could give Everton supporters plenty of excitement ahead of the remainder of the campaign.
