DONE DEAL: Norwich City have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper from Millwall

Norwich City are looking to continue their unbeaten start to the new season when they welcome Millwall to Carrow Road this lunchtime

David Wagner’s side have picked up four points from two matches and progressed to the second round of the Carabao Cup after a 1-0 victory over QPR at Loftus Road in midweek.

City return to NR1 hoping to build on the positive early season momentum they have assembled through impressive performances in matches against Hull and Southampton.

Last week’s breathless 4-4 draw saw Norwich compete with a side predicted to be among the challengers for promotion. They would have left St Mary’s with three points had a late penalty against Dimi Giannoulis for a foul on Kyle Walker-Peters been awarded.

Wagner has no new fresh fitness concerns and is boosted by the news that Jacob Sorensen is likely to return to team training during the upcoming international break alongside new signing Borja Sainz and defender Jonathan Tomkinson.

They welcome Millwall to Carrow Road this afternoon, with the Lions seeking to respond to last weekend’s defeat to Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Millwall are looking to record their first victory in Norwich since 1968. The sides have met 23 times since that Division Two game 55 years ago.

Rowett’s task could be made significantly tougher after reports emerged that duo Casper De Norre and Romain Esse could miss this weekend’s trip to Carrow Road. Millwall will be searching for improvement in their performance levels, having been under-par last week.

This game will be another test of City’s minerals. They will hope to stand up to the task.
