just in: Tottenham is really willing to replace Harry Kane with a with word best winner who worth £110m

Tottenham told to pull plug on Romelu Lukaku deal – ‘Spurs fans will be fuming’, says expert

Tottenham must not replace Harry Kane with Romelu Lukaku.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie has claimed that the Chelsea striker is not the right fit for Spurs.

Juventus remain in talks with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku, but according to Tuttosport newspaper (15 August), Tottenham have also joined the race for the ex-Inter striker.

Football Insider revealed last month (14 June) that Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea this summer after spending last season on loan at Inter.

The striker’s current contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2026 after he arrived from the Serie A side for a reported fee of £97.5million in 2021.

With a potential London switch on the cards, McAvennie believes that Daniel Levy should avoid a deal to sign the Belgium International.

“That would be a bad move for Tottenham,” he told Football Insider.

“I can’t see the Spurs supporters warming up to the transfer if he was to arrive.

“He’s been all around Europe and hasn’t achieved anything and I think it would be the same story if he was to go Tottenham.

“I love people to prove me wrong, but maybe his best days are behind him and, and I’m not being funny but the amount of money these guys make, does Spurs want to risk such an important transfer?Romelu Lukaku gives update on Juventus transfer when confronted by Inter fan | Goal.com Nigeria

“I don’t know if he’s got that fire in his belly, you know, when he came back to Chelsea a couple of seasons ago he has never been the same player that he was at Inter Milan.”
