Leeds United: Tyler Adams agrees personal terms to quit Elland Road permanently

Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams has agreed personal terms with Bournemouth ahead of undergoing a medical, according to Graeme Bailey.

The 90min transfer reporter provided an update on Adams’ situation on his personal Twitter page on Friday [18 August], with a deal now close.

Bailey posted: “Sources confirm that Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams due at Bournemouth for medical – personal terms agreed.”

Second time lucky?

Adams has not played for Leeds since early March due to a thigh injury, but it has long been clear his future lies away from Elland Road.

The United States captain had been close to joining Chelsea earlier this month, only for the Blues to instead focus on signing Moises Caicedo.

Having already undergone a medical with the Blues at that point [The Secret Scout], Adams will hope it is second time lucky with Bournemouth.

With personal terms having already been agreed and any issues with a medical unlikely, Adams’ Leeds exit is now set to finally be confirmed.

“Understand Southampton boss Russell Martin has identified long term target Cody Drameh as target in the closing weeks of the window,” Romano posted on Twitter.

“He’s prepared to wait until January and even next summer to sign the RB who’s deal expires in 2024.”

Drameh has already enjoyed a fine career so far at the age of 21, with the youngster shining while temporarily away from Elland Road in recent seasons.

The right-back first impressed during a loan spell at Cardiff City in the 2021/22 campaign, before helping Luton Town gain promotion to the Premier League last time out.

Now he is back at Leeds, but his long-term future is up in the air amid interest from the likes of Championship rivals Southampton.

Many Leeds fans were perhaps expecting the 21-year-old to feature regularly under Daniel Farke following his time at Luton, but Drameh has been handed just one minute of action so far this season.Josh Sargent back available for Norwich City - SBI Soccer
