Ipswich Town will take on Premier League newcomers Luton Town in a pre-season friendly later this month.
The game against the Hatters will be played at Colchester United’s JobServe Community Stadium, given both clubs are undergoing significant infrastructure work at their home grounds this summer, on Tuesday, 25 July (7.30pm).
The fixture is the latest of a growing pre-season schedule for Kieran McKenna’s newly-promoted Sky Bet Championship side.
On Friday they will take on National League Maidenhead United at Needham Market’s Bloomfields (7.45pm) before going to Austria for a training camp that will coincide with a game against Slovakian side Spartak Trnava on Saturday, 15 July (venue TBC). Another yet to be confirmed fixture is set to be included in their itinerary in the country that borders the central eastern Alps.
