Report: Nottingham Forest now want ‘extraordinary’ £15m-rated star, claimed 12 assists last season……..

Nottingham Forest are the Premier League club currently weighing up a move to sign Filip Kostic. The Juventus wing-back is a wanted man and could leave the Old Lady this summer.

The Reds are in the market for a new left-sided player. They have signed Ola Aina this summer but they are looking for another option for their left-sided wing-back role.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Reds are now looking into the possibility of landing Kostic before the transfer window closes in a couple of weeks.

It’s that the player who they signed from Eintracht Frankfurt could be available for around £15 million. The 30-year-old only signed for Juventus last summer but the club are already keen to sell.

Forest target Kostic was in fine form for the club too. He scored three times and registered an impressive 12 assists, often playing in a more advanced position on the left-hand side.

Fredi Bobic used to be the Sporting Director at Frankfurt when Kostic was performing well there. He called him ‘extraordinary’ and a ‘top professional’ during his time at the club.

This would be a seriously good deal for the Reds to complete. Okay, Kostic is 30 but he’d be arriving at the club on the back of a very good season during 2022/23.

Convincing him to swap Juventus for the City Ground could prove tricky. He may want to stay at a club competing at the top level in their domestic league.

Juventus clearly fancy a change on the left. They tried to sign Forest target Carlos Augusto this summer, however, he’s now signed for Inter after a summer of speculation.

Rumour rating: 8/10 – This would be an amazing deal and Forest would be wise to get this one over the line as a matter of urgency.

Kostic is a proven performer in the Bundesliga and Serie A. He would bring some much-needed experience to the ranks and at just £15 million, he’s a no-brainer for Forest.
