Leeds United have seen their attempts to sign Max Aarons from Norwich City hijacked by Bournemouth, with a medical now scrapped as he edges towards a Premier League move.

The Whites looked to be pressing on with seriously ambitious signings to ensure they have what it takes to sustain a promotion charge this season.

Joe Rodon is nearing a move to Elland Road from Spurs and it looked as though Max Aarons would be heading to West Yorkshire from Norwich City.

Bournemouth hijack Aarons bid

The Pink Un reported this morning that Leeds were closing in on the signing of Max Aarons from Norwich City in a deal that could be worth up to £12million.

Of course, Aarons made his name playing under Daniel Farke at Carrow Road, helping them to two Championship titles in 18/19 and 20/21.

However, The Athletic’s Phil Hay has now shared that a hijack has taken place from Bournemouth in the Premier League, seeing Andoni Iraola’s side move clear of Leeds in the hunt to sign the 23-year-old.

Fabrizio Romano has added further insight to this, sharing that a deal is agreed for him to head to the South Coast, where he will sign for £7million:
